Job Location: San Clemente, CA

Length: 3 month contract

Job Description

• The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for in-plant process testing and compliance to standards using Clients quality and food safety policy.
• Perform tests of the production operations and equipment to ensure our products conform to specifications Discuss inspection results with those responsible for products and recommend necessary corrective actions
• Monitor the quality of the product manufactured and inspect process controls points
• Reject or retain substandard products that fall outside of defined tolerances
• Responsible for timely completion and accuracy of paperwork
• May use computer software and electronic equipment to enter data
• Establish, maintain and promote good communications with all departments Performs other tasks and duties as needed

Skills and Requirements

• Quality Control environment is preferred.
• Experience working in a food manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Able to utilize standard processes, procedures, and equipment.
• Prior experience with HACCP a plus
• Able to perform essential math functions, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.

Experience / Education

• General high school degree/GED or equivalent preferred
• Prior work in a related field would be an advantage.
• Certificate in Food Handling, Culinary Arts, or other related training or education is helpful.
• Must be 18 or older to apply as required for machinery and/or equipment utilization
