What you'll do:
As a Junior Estimator, you will handle tasks involving drawings like floor plans and elevations. Your responsibilities will include inputting data into TEP, CAD, Revit, and Cordell programs. It's important to demonstrate a strong track record in project estimation, with a keen eye for detail and excellent communication abilities.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
Estimating:
- Assist in analyzing project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine the scope of work.
- Calculate the quantity of tiles, materials, and labor required for various projects.
- Support the preparation of cost estimates and bid proposals for tile installation projects.
- Collaborate with senior estimators to identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
Plotting and Design Layout:
- Create detailed layout and plotting plans for tile installations based on project specifications.
- Work with design teams to ensure that tile patterns and designs are accurately represented in the plotting phase.
- Use software tools (e.g., TEP, CAD, Revit, and Cordell) to create digital layouts and verify measurements.
- Ensure that plotted designs align with client preferences, project requirements, and industry standards.
Reporting and documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of all estimates, bids, contracts, and plotting layouts.
- Assist in preparing and submitting reports on project progress, cost breakdowns, and design changes.
- Support the review and adjustment of estimates and layouts based on project changes or unforeseen conditions.
Successful candidates must have:
- 1-2 years of experience in construction, estimating, or design is a plus or any related industry experience.
- Basic understanding of tile installation processes, materials, and design principles.
- Experience or familiarity with plotting and layout tools (e.g., TEP, CAD, Revit, and Cordell) is preferred.
- Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, and design specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and familiarity with estimating and design software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in both calculations and design layouts.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work on-site (Alabang Muntinlupa)
