What you'll do:

As an Analytics Engineer, you will be collaborating with team members to gather business requirements, define analytics outcomes, and design data models. Deliver clean data sets for reporting, identify and address data gaps with Data Engineers, and apply statistical models to data in the company's Data Lake. Continuously improve data pipelines and stores, adhering to engineering best practices like versioning and automated testing. You will contribute to business discovery, assess data exposure risks, and align with risk framework.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Collaborate with team members to collect business requirements, define successful analytics outcomes, and design data models
  • Provide clean and appropriate data sets/views for data and reporting requirements to be delivered
  • Provide insights and workshop with Data Engineers the gaps of data in the data lake for data engineers to pipeline in
  • Apply appropriate statistical calculations and models against data sets
  • Continuous improvement activities on performance optimization of all data pipelines and data stores, applying engineering best practices to code
  • Provide input into the discovery and solution phase for Business/Client needs, assessing risk in exposing data and working inline with the company's risk framework
  • Contribute to business cases the Head of Data Engineering will be putting forward to the company's Strategic Leadership Team
  • Support the Product owner in communicating the delivery and handover of a report to the relevant internal/external stakeholders

Successful candidates must have:

  • At least 3 years experience with Databricks, Apache Spark/PySpark, and CI/CD
  • Proficient in data build tool is a plus
  • Has an advanced experience in Python programming
  • Knowledgeable with AWS services (e.g., Redshift, Athena, Glue, S3, EMR) and Git Version Control
  • Has an excellent communication skills
