What you'll do:
The role focuses on service delivery, project support, and technical escalation across Azure, Microsoft 365, endpoints, servers, VMware, and backup platforms.
Key Responsibilities for this role include:
- Managed Services Delivery
- Support the delivery and ongoing management of managed services across Azure, Microsoft 365, endpoints, servers, VMware, and backup platforms.
- Assist in onboarding new customers using standardised deployment models.
- Maintain system health, performance, and security across customer environments.
- Project Support
- Participate in infrastructure and cloud projects including Azure migrations, Microsoft 365 deployments, and backup implementations.
- Assist senior engineers in delivering projects aligned to best practices.
- Execute technical tasks within defined project scope.
- Technical Support & Escalation
- Act as Level 2/3 escalation point for service desk engineers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across cloud and infrastructure.
- Ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
- Standardisation & Documentation
- Follow defined standards for deployments and configurations.
- Maintain accurate documentation, runbooks, and procedures.
- Contribute to improving operational processes.
- Customer Engagement
- Communicate with customers to resolve issues and provide updates.
- Assist in delivering technical recommendations to customers.
- Support customer onboarding and service improvements.
Successful candidate must have:
- 7 years in the IT services industry, ideally with a Managed Services Provider
- At least 4 years of hands-on L2 administration and support of all the following:
- Windows Servers – Azure, virtual and physical
- Critical services – AD/Entra, DNS, Group Policy, Intune
- Hybrid organizations running AD and Entra
- M365
- Mandatory Technical Skills
- Administration of Microsoft Azure workloads, specifically Servers and VPN Gateways
- Windows Server administration, management and troubleshooting
- Deep understanding of AD, DNS, Group Policy
- Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint).
- Endpoint management using Intune or similar tools.
- VMware administration
- Some experience with M365 backups
- Tool-Specific Requirements
- RMM tools: Datto RMM, Kaseya VSA, or equivalent.
- PSA tools: ConnectWise Manage or similar.
- Documentation platforms: IT Glue or equivalent.
- Backup platforms: Veeam, Azure Backup.
- Microsoft Defender portal
- Scripting/automation using PowerShell
- Mandatory Certifications (or equivalent experience)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate.
- Desired Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate.
- ITIL Foundation.
- VMware VCP (desirable but not required).
Work Arrangements:
- Schedule: 24/7 shifting schedule - Australian Time (AEST)
