Coded Welder

Position: Coded Welders (Structural) – ISO 9606 136 & 138

Location: Newry, Ireland

Start Date: September 2026

Duration:  Up to 4 Months

Positions Available: 4

PAYE Rates (Days – Monday to Friday)

Mon–Fri

£22.31 per hour + £2.69 holiday pay = £25.00 per hour

Saturday/Sunday
£26.78 per hour + £3.23 holiday pay = £30.00 per hour

Lodge Allowance:
£400 per week (on full week) - (£57.14 per day worked)

Hours:
55 per week (Monday to Sunday available)

The Role

We are recruiting 4 experienced Coded Structural Welders for a major infrastructure project based near Warrenpoint.

This is a long-term opportunity on a high-profile, fast-paced project. Welders will be required to carry out heavy structural steel welding on plate thicknesses up to 100mm, with 100% Ultrasonic Testing (UT).

All welding will be carried out using:

• 136 – MAG (Flux Core)

• 138 – Flux Core

High standards of workmanship and adherence to site safety procedures are essential due to the nature of the project.

Requirements

• Valid Safe Pass

• Current or previously coded in ISO 9606 – 136 & 138 (all positions)

• Proven experience welding heavy structural steel (up to 100mm plate)

• Experience working to UT standards (100% testing environment)
