Position: Cost Engineer

Location: Bridgwater, Somerset

Start date: Immediate

Duration: Permanent

Hours: Approx 45hrs/week + Weekend Overtime on site

Salary: £45-60,000 per annum including site bonus + expenses

The Role:

Integrate Engineering Resources are recruiting for a Senior Cost Engineer for a permanent position on behalf of our client, to support a major power station construction project in Somerset. Duties will include:

  • Contract administration
  • Payment applications and management
  • Submission of contractual notices
  • Managing changes to work programme and associated impacts
  • Managing budgets
  • Cost reporting
  • Development of risk management plan
  • Providing procurement support
  • Communicating with client and project team
  • Attending commercial meetings
  • Assisting the Project Manager in determining the subcontract scope, tendering the subcontract scope packages and negotiating and awarding subcontract packages
  • Prepare and produce reports as required

Requirements:

  • HND in relevant field.
  • Desired Bachelors degree in Construction, Project Controls, Quantity Surveying or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Cost Engineer within the Oil, Gas, Nuclear Industry with project or turnaround experience.
  • Must thoroughly understand and utilize Information Technology in the performance of work including MS 365
  • Good knowledge of large Petrochemical asset organisational, process plant and site operations.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.K and subject to acceptance/ approval of the BPSS Application and DBS Security Clearance
