Rate:             

1st 40 Hours M-F - £18.74 per hour + £2.26 holiday pay - £21.00 per hour including holiday pay

Over 40 Hours M-F - £23.21 per hour + £2.80 holiday pay - £26.00 per hour including holiday pay

Lodge Allowance - £60.00 per day worked if over 40 miles from site

Duration:      2 Year Contract

Required:     Previous Maintenance Background in Welding Equipment, CSCS Card, Mech / Elec Maintenance qualification

The purpose of the role involves the execution of the operations inherent to the maintenance processes of installations and machinery in accordance with the established maintenance programmes established.

This role includes, but is not limited to, the following duties:

  • Executes work and test schedules so that production stoppages are avoided to the extent possible
  • Sets up equipment, undertakes tests, takes readings, records and interprets data
  • Checks completed installation for safety and controls or undertakes the initial running of the new equipment or systems, either electrical, electronic, mechanical or hydraulic.
  • Corrective maintenance: diagnoses and detects faults and implements procedures to maintain efficient operation of systems and equipment in the factory.
  • Preventive maintenance: periodically inspects systems and machinery with the goal of noticing small problems and fixing them before major ones develop.
  • Predictive maintenance: evaluates the condition of equipment by performing periodic or continuous equipment condition monitoring, before the equipment loses performance within a threshold.
  • Reports to the line manager any misuse of the machinery and installations.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Qualifications: GCSEs or equivalent, which may be covered by experience in the same or a similar position. Highly valued: Vocational Training or Certificate of Higher Education in the maintenance branch or similar.
  • Previous experience in the industrial and/or construction sector, as well as international experience will be highly valued.
  • Knowledge of machinery applicable: - Lifting platforms, Welding and oxy-cutting machinery.
  • Theoretical electrical and mechanical knowledge, knowledge in installation, basic knowledge in hydraulics and pneumatics, training in occupational hazards.
