Rate: Monday to Friday - £32.00 per hour - Weekend - £37.00 per hour - £55 per day lodge
Job Type: Full-Time, Contract - 6 months
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Welding Supervisor to join our team on a new build industrial project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all welding activities on site, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality. The Welding Supervisor will also provide guidance on the necessary consumables, materials, and tools required for the job, working closely with the project management team to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise all welding activities on site oversee welding teams and ensure work complies with project specifications, safety standards, and company quality control protocols.
- Provide technical guidance offer support and advice on welding techniques, materials, and processes to ensure best practices are followed.
- Monitor consumables and materials assess and advise on the required welding consumables, materials, and tools necessary for the project, ensuring availability and proper use.
- Quality Assurance conduct inspections and tests to ensure welds meet the required standards and specifications.
- Health and Safety Compliance ensure all welding activities are conducted in compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
- Team Leadership mentor and train welding personnel, providing support to improve skills and efficiency.
- Liaison with Project Management report progress, issues, and material/tool requirements to the project management team, ensuring timelines and objectives are met.
- Documentation and Reporting maintain records of work performed, inspections, and welding quality, providing detailed reports as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Welding Supervisor or similar role in an industrial construction environment.
- Strong knowledge of welding processes, techniques, and standards.
- Familiarity with different welding materials, consumables, and tools.
- Certification in welding or equivalent technical qualification.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Previous experience on new build industrial projects is highly desirable.
