Reporting to:
The Mechanical Fitter will report to the Contracts Manager. This position may also receive professional instructions from Site Supervisors, Project Managers and Project Engineers.

Role Overview:

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, andrepairof mechanical systems and equipment on water and wastewater treatment sites. Thisincludes fitting pipework, pumps, valves, and other treatment components. You will work from technical drawings, troubleshoot installation issues, and ensure all work is completed safely and to industry standards.


Key Responsibilities:
Setting to technical drawings
Welding & fabrication site activities as required
Operating site-specific power tools and equipment
Adherence to Health and Safety protocols
Following instruction from Site Supervisors and Contract Managers Qualifications:
CSCS Card (Labourer minimum requirement)
Mechanical Qualification
Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)
Skills & Attributes
Excellent punctuality and professionalism
Demonstrate hard working and can do attitude
Ability to work well within a team
Demonstrate use of initiative

Pay rates:

  • Basic 37.5-hour week £16.00 uplifted to £17.50 once probation has been passed
  • Overtime paid at 1.5
  • Travel time paid at basic rate
  • Company vehicle + fuel card
  • + Pension, 28 days holiday
