Position: Site Manager – Structural Steel / Bridge Construction

Location: Warrenpoint, Northern Ireland

Start Date:  ASAP

Duration: 9 Months
Hours: 55 – 66 Hours per Week (Monday – Sunday)
Engagement: PAYE Direct

Pay Rates (PAYE Direct)

Monday – Friday:
£35.00 per hour

Saturday & Sunday:
£41.00 per hour

Accommodation Allowance:

£400 per week

The Role

We are recruiting an experienced Site Manager for a 6-month structural steel and viaduct construction project based in County Down.

This is a hands-on management role overseeing the erection and installation of structural steelwork associated with bridge/viaduct construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing site operations, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring programme delivery, and maintaining strict health & safety compliance.

In the initial most immediate phase, the successful candidate will be responsible for creation and implementation of all Risk Assessments and Method Statements.  So a background in a similar position is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily site operations for structural steel and viaduct works
  • Manage steel erection, splicing, decking and associated civils interfaces
  • Coordinate labour, plant and subcontractors
  • Ensure works are delivered in line with programme deadlines
  • Maintain high HSEQ standards in a live construction environment
  • Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings
  • Liaise with project management and client representatives
  • Ensure quality standards and inspection processes are adhered to

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on structural steel projects
  • Demonstrable experience delivering bridge or viaduct construction schemes
  • SMSTS (Essential)
  • CSCS / CSR (Black / Management level preferred)
  • Safe Pass - Essential
  • First Aid at Work
  • Strong knowledge of HSEQ compliance
  • Ability to manage long working hours and high-output programme
