Role Overview 

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Merchandiser – Bulk to oversee bulk production activities while ensuring timely delivery, quality compliance, cost optimization, and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with suppliers, managing raw material procurement, monitoring production progress, maintaining stakeholder relationships, and ensuring products are delivered according to agreed timelines and quality standards. This role requires strong merchandising expertise, negotiation skills, production knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced apparel manufacturing environment. 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop strategies to ensure timely delivery of shipments while maintaining required quality standards and customer expectations.
• Create and implement frameworks that provide timely and accurate progress updates to customers.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers, customers, and key stakeholders to proactively address potential delays and deviations.
• Organize and lead periodic review meetings to monitor production progress and ensure alignment with agreed timelines and objectives.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers on raw material pricing to optimize production costs and maximize profitability.
• Oversee procurement activities to ensure the timely availability of materials required for production.
• Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards throughout the merchandising and production processes.
• Review and approve production samples and prototypes before bulk production commences.
• Coordinate with logistics teams to arrange shipping schedules and transportation of finished goods.
• Monitor production costs and budgets while ensuring operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead, coach, and monitor team performance while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Perform additional responsibilities assigned by management to support business and operational objectives.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Merchandising, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Merchandising, Operations, or a related function.
• A Master's Degree in a relevant discipline will be an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of garment manufacturing processes, supply chain functions, and bulk merchandising operations.
• Deep understanding of consumer preferences and apparel industry dynamics.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Design, Production, Marketing, Logistics, and Sales.
• Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of market research methodologies and business data analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to identify issues early and resolve conflicts effectively and professionally.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
