Role Overview 

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Senior Electrical Engineer – Projects & Maintenance to oversee engineering projects, utilities, facility maintenance, and electrical infrastructure across multiple operational locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing electrical and MEP projects from planning through execution, ensuring reliable operation of utilities and facility systems, coordinating contractors and suppliers, and driving improvements in reliability, safety, efficiency, and operational performance. This role requires a technically strong engineer who can balance project execution, maintenance management, utility operations, and facility improvement initiatives while working effectively with internal stakeholders and external service providers.  

Key Responsibilities Projects & Engineering Execution

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise electrical and MEP-related projects, including new installations, modifications, expansions, and facility improvements.
• Prepare and review electrical layouts, engineering drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, building management, and internal stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
• Monitor project costs, schedules, quality standards, and implementation progress.
• Review technical proposals, quotations, equipment selections, and material submissions.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure work is completed according to approved specifications, drawings, and safety requirements.
• Support testing, commissioning, handover, and project close-out activities.
• Develop project schedules and monitor progress using Microsoft Project.

Electrical Engineering & Maintenance

• Oversee electrical installations and maintenance activities across factories, offices, and operational facilities.
• Provide technical support for LV electrical distribution systems, generators, UPS systems, cabling, lighting, earthing systems, protection systems, DBs, MDBs, and related infrastructure.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for electrical failures and recurring equipment breakdowns.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and operational continuity.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards, electrical regulations, and operational requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing electrical system performance.

Utilities & Facilities Management

• Support operation, maintenance, and optimization of factory utility and facility systems.
• Provide technical guidance for the selection, sizing, and implementation of utility equipment.
• Manage projects involving generators, HVAC systems, air compressors, pumps, and utility infrastructure.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with internal teams and external service providers.
• Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency, system reliability, and operating cost performance.
• Ensure utility systems continue to meet operational and production requirements.

Civil & Facility Development

• Coordinate minor civil construction, renovation, refurbishment, fit-out, and facility modification projects.
• Review construction layouts, quantities, and technical requirements.
• Coordinate contractors and service providers to ensure projects meet quality and operational expectations.
• Support facility development initiatives that contribute to operational improvement and business growth.

Candidate Profile

• BSc in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent recognized engineering qualification.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Engineering Projects, Electrical Engineering, Utilities, and Facility Maintenance.
• Experience within a manufacturing or factory environment will be a strong advantage.
• Strong practical knowledge of factory electrical systems, installations, and maintenance operations.
• Hands-on experience in project execution, contractor coordination, and site supervision.
• Strong understanding of LV electrical systems, generators, UPS systems, lighting, earthing, protection systems, and industrial electrical infrastructure.
• Experience reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical documentation.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Experience using MS Project for project planning and scheduling.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Basic knowledge of utility equipment sizing and selection.
• Exposure to civil construction and facility-related projects will be advantageous.
• Strong technical, analytical, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Excellent project coordination and follow-up skills.
• Strong contractor management and stakeholder coordination abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and maintenance priorities simultaneously.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, cost efficiency, and project delivery.
• Willingness to travel between operational locations when required.
