About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished and commercially driven Head of Finance (Manager) to lead the finance function of its overseas operations. This role requires a strategic finance leader who can drive financial performance, ensure regulatory compliance, optimize treasury operations, and provide insightful financial guidance to support business growth and strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, extensive financial management expertise, and experience operating within complex, multi-country business environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning to support business objectives.
• Monitor and review finance department performance to ensure alignment with strategic goals and business plans.
• Facilitate internal and external audits while ensuring compliance with tax, regulatory, and statutory requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team through training, coaching, and performance management initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to credit policies through effective management of debt collections and customer credit facilities.
• Oversee treasury operations, including collections, liability settlements, and working capital optimization initiatives.
• Negotiate effectively with banks, financial institutions, and service providers to improve financial efficiency and reduce costs.
• Safeguard company assets through appropriate insurance coverage, risk management practices, and contingency planning.
• Provide financial leadership and expert insights to support key business decisions and stakeholder engagement.
• Strengthen systems, procedures, internal controls, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness.

Requirements

• Fully qualified in CA, CIMA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, IAS, and financial reporting standards.
• Expertise in corporate finance, treasury management, financial planning, and risk management.
• Strong understanding of taxation, compliance, and financial governance practices.
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and performance management.
• Experience working with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with cross-border financial management, foreign exchange exposure, and group consolidation reporting.
• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to support strategic decision-making at senior leadership and board level.
