Role Overview

We are seeking a results-driven Freight Forwarding Logistics Sales Executive to grow and manage business across air, sea, and road freight services. The role focuses on business development, client relationship management, solution-based logistics selling, and achieving sustainable revenue growth through a strong sales pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Prospect and onboard new clients through lead generation, cold calling, client visits, and market research

  • Maintain and grow an existing client base while generating new business opportunities

  • Build and manage a strong and sustainable sales pipeline

Client Management

  • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships

  • Understand customer logistics requirements and propose optimal air, sea, and road freight solutions

  • Handle RFQs, rate negotiations, contract discussions, and issue resolution to ensure customer satisfaction

Sales Execution

  • Meet or exceed assigned sales targets while maintaining profitable margins

  • Prepare accurate quotations, negotiate contracts, and successfully close deals

  • Ensure commercial viability and revenue growth within the assigned client portfolio

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with operations, pricing, and documentation teams to ensure smooth execution of sales commitments

  • Coordinate internally to deliver agreed service levels and uphold customer expectations

Reporting & Strategy

  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates

  • Contribute to sales strategies, market positioning, and marketing initiatives

Qualifications

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience in freight forwarding or logistics sales

  • Existing customer base with the ability to bring in new clients and grow business independently

  • Strong understanding of air, sea, and road freight operations and market dynamics

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills

  • Ability to manage client challenges and deliver effective logistics solutions

  • Proficiency in CRM systems and sales reporting tools

  • Fluency in both Sinhala and English
