WE ARE HIRING: Project Engineer Electrical (Contract)

  Employment Type: Full-time (Contract)

Role Overview

We are looking for a technically strong and detail-oriented Project Engineer Electrical to support large-scale infrastructure and electrical development projects. The role involves preparing technical documentation, validating electrical installations, coordinating with multiple internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring smooth implementation of project activities while meeting safety, quality, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed procurement documentation for electrical works, including BOQs, specifications, and layouts.

• Coordinate with relevant facilities and engineering teams to ensure timely readiness of project-related electrical infrastructure.

• Validate electrical installations for quality, safety, and technical compliance during implementation phases.

• Participate in contractor assessments, tender evaluations, and technical meetings.

• Support documentation processes, milestone tracking, and reporting on all electrical-related activities.

• Work closely with contractors, project leads, project managers, and working groups to ensure effective communication and seamless project execution.

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized local or foreign university, accredited by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka.

• Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL) is required.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in electrical systems, power distribution, building services projects, or industrial electrical infrastructure.

• Experience in regulated or large-scale engineering environments will be an added advantage.

Preferred Skills / Other Qualifications

• Strong skills in electrical engineering design, power systems planning, budgeting, and project management.

• Recognized qualification or diploma in Project Management is preferred.

• Excellent coordination, analytical, and technical problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse engineering and project teams.
