Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Tax Manager to oversee all tax-related functions and ensure full compliance with statutory regulations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for strategic tax planning, managing tax filings, and supporting the organization with expert tax guidance. This role requires strong technical knowledge, accuracy, and the ability to manage deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end tax operations including corporate tax and all statutory tax requirements.

  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns.

  • Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies to optimize tax efficiency.

  • Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.

  • Conduct tax risk assessments and maintain strong internal controls.

  • Monitor changes in tax laws and advise management on impacts and required actions.

  • Prepare tax reports and documentation for compliance, audit reviews, and regulatory submissions.

  • Support the finance team with tax-related queries and provide ongoing guidance.

Candidate Profile

  • Member of CA Sri Lanka.

  • Professional qualifications such as CIMA, ACCA, or a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance will be an added advantage.

  • Minimum 57 years of experience in taxation with strong exposure to corporate tax.

  • Excellent knowledge of local tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
