Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Facilities Manager to oversee end-to-end facilities operations and ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained workplace environment. This role focuses on facility management, vendor coordination, maintenance planning, workplace services, and operational excellence within a fast-paced IT/BPM environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilities Operations Management
Manage day-to-day operations of office facilities and administrative services
Ensure all workplace infrastructure is maintained to high operational standards
Oversee office upkeep, utilities, housekeeping, security, and space management - Maintenance & Infrastructure
Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules for building systems
Coordinate repairs for electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and office equipment
Ensure uninterrupted functioning of all facility-related services - Vendor & Contract Management
Manage external vendors, contractors, and service providers
Negotiate contracts, monitor SLAs, and evaluate vendor performance
Ensure cost-effective procurement of facility-related services - Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with workplace safety, fire, and statutory regulations
Conduct risk assessments and emergency preparedness initiatives
Maintain documentation related to audits and compliance checks - Budget & Cost Control
Prepare and manage facilities budgets and expenses
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality
Monitor operational spending and resource utilization - Employee Experience & Workplace Services
Maintain a productive and comfortable office environment for employees
Support office moves, seating plans, and workspace optimization
Handle employee facility-related concerns promptly
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in facilities management or administration
- Experience in corporate offices, IT parks, BPOs, or large-scale commercial environments is preferred
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of facility operations and maintenance systems
- Excellent vendor and contractor management skills
- Strong budgeting and cost control capabilities
- Good understanding of health, safety, and compliance standards
- Excellent leadership and team coordination skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
