Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Kitchen Manager to oversee back-of-house operations and ensure the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and efficiency. This role focuses on managing kitchen teams, controlling costs, maintaining operational excellence, and delivering a consistent and high-quality customer dining experience.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Kitchen Operations Management
    Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations and ensure smooth workflow
    Maintain high standards in food preparation, presentation, and service speed
    Ensure consistency in recipes, portion control, and product quality
  • Cost & Financial Management
    Monitor kitchen budgets, food costs, and purchasing activities
    Control wastage and ensure cost efficiency in line with targets
    Manage staff schedules aligned with operational needs and forecasts
  • Food Quality & Safety Compliance
    Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and health regulations
    Maintain cleanliness and compliance with kitchen safety standards
    Uphold quality standards to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Team Leadership & Development
    Lead, train, and manage kitchen staff and culinary teams
    Develop team capabilities through coaching and training programs
    Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular evaluations
    Foster a positive, high-performance team culture
  • Operational Excellence
    Ensure all processes and systems are followed consistently
    Support continuous improvement initiatives in kitchen operations
    Collaborate with management to achieve business objectives
  • Customer Experience Focus
    Ensure food quality meets customer expectations at all times
    Promote a service-oriented culture within the kitchen team
    Work closely with front-of-house teams to enhance guest experience

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in hospitality and kitchen operations
  • Relevant certifications in food safety and kitchen management
  • Experience in high-volume or branded food service environments is preferred

  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of kitchen operations and culinary standards
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Financial awareness including cost control and budgeting
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
