Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior System Owner to oversee the end-to-end ownership, implementation, configuration, and continuous improvement of enterprise HCM/HRIS or ERP systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong domain expertise in HR, payroll, or finance, along with technical capability in system configuration, data analysis, and solution delivery. This role requires a proactive professional who can manage systems independently, work with global stakeholders, and ensure seamless system functionality for business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end lifecycle of HCM/HRIS or ERP/Finance systems, including implementation, enhancements, and ongoing support.
- Work closely with HR, Finance, and IT teams to gather requirements, configure systems, and deliver scalable solutions.
- Translate business requirements into system configurations, BRDs, workflows, and technical documentation.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance across all system modules.
- Support UAT, testing cycles, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
- Analyze system data, design reports/dashboards, and support performance improvements.
- Collaborate with global or regional teams, including European/Nordic stakeholders, as required.
- Act as the subject-matter expert for all system-related queries and enhancements.
Requirements
Experience
- 3-6+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: SaaS / cloud HCM or HRIS implementation
- ERP / finance system implementation (GL, AP, AR, budgeting, cost centers, etc.)
- Business Analyst / Consultant roles in HR, payroll, or finance domains
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in one of the following fields:
- BSc in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or Computer Science
- BSc in Management Information Systems / Information Systems / Business IT
- BBA / BCom / BSc in Accounting, Finance, or HRM with strong IT exposure
Core Knowledge
- Good understanding of HR & HCM processes:
- Employee lifecycle, org structures, time & attendance, leave, payroll inputs, approvals, workflows
- Good understanding of finance concepts:
- Chart of accounts, GL, AP/AR, budgeting, cost centers, period closing
Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with at least one major system:
- HCM/HRIS: Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, etc.
- ERP/Finance: SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365, IFS, NetSuite, etc.
- Strong skills in: SQL / basic querying Excel (pivot tables, lookups)
Data analysis
- Writing BRDs, configuration documents, and test cases
- Additional Advantages
- Experience in IT services or software companies (local or global captive centers).
- Exposure to European/Nordic customers or offshore/nearshore delivery models.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
- High ownership and accountability; ability to manage tasks independently in a remote or distributed environment.
