Job Overview
We are looking for a highly driven Senior Manager Sales (Banking Sector) to lead and execute strategic sales initiatives within the banking and financial services segment. This role focuses on building strong client relationships, expanding business opportunities, and achieving revenue targets through innovative solutions tailored for banking clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Strategy & Business Growth: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability goals. Identify and secure new business opportunities within the banking sector.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with senior banking officials (CEO, GM, AGMs, Department Heads). Conduct regular meetings to understand client needs and ensure satisfaction.
- Account Management: Manage a portfolio of key banking clients, ensuring retention and growth. Maintain accurate account plans and monitor service delivery.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration: Lead and mentor the sales team to achieve targets. Collaborate with pre-sales, engineering, and delivery teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
- Proposal & Tender Management: Lead RFP/RFQ responses, coordinate technical proposals, and conduct commercial negotiations.
- Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis: Track industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities.
- Reporting & Data Management: Maintain an active sales pipeline, prepare performance reports, and ensure accurate documentation in CRM systems.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory guidelines while upholding brand integrity.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, IT, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in the banking or financial services sector.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Experience handling large banking accounts and high-value proposals.
- Strong understanding of banking operations, digital transformation, and financial technology.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
- Masters degree (MBA) is an advantage.
- Experience in selling technology solutions, software platforms, or digital banking products.
- Strong network within the banking community.
