Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – Finance / Manager – Finance to oversee the overall finance function of the organization, including financial reporting, working capital management, record keeping, payroll, budgeting, costing, statutory compliance, and management reporting.

The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining the financial health of the organization, providing accurate financial insights to management, supervising finance operations, coordinating with auditors, and supporting effective decision-making through timely and accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall finance function of the organization.
• Provide financial reports and interpret financial information for management decision-making.
• Recommend suitable courses of action based on financial analysis and business performance.
• Maintain the financial health of the organization through proper controls and reporting.
• Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and actual business performance.
• Compare financial performance against business plans and highlight key variances.
• Oversee daily operations of the finance department.
• Set finance department goals, objectives, and work plans.
• Design and maintain a framework to ensure finance goals are achieved.
• Liaise with auditors to ensure proper monitoring of company finances.
• Coordinate with other departments to discuss company plans and agree on future financial actions.
• Check and process all types of payments accurately and on time.
• Ensure timely settlement of loans, supplier payments, and other financial commitments.
• Prepare debtors' outstanding reports and follow up with relevant sales personnel.
• Support accounts receivable monitoring and collection follow-up activities.
• Manage payroll processing and related finance documentation.
• Handle costing, budgeting, and ad hoc management reports.
• Supervise the finance team and allocate tasks effectively.
• Review finance work completed by team members and ensure accuracy.
• Prepare reports and financial insights to support management decision-making.
• Maintain accurate financial records, documents, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Ensure compliance with statutory legislation, taxation requirements, and financial regulations.
• Support internal controls, financial governance, and process improvement initiatives.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field from a reputed university.
• Fully qualified in Chartered Accountancy.
• Proven experience as an Assistant Manager – Finance, Manager – Finance, or similar finance leadership role.
• Strong understanding of financial trends, company financial performance, and market patterns.
• Solid understanding of financial statistics, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
• Working knowledge of statutory legislation, taxation, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in budgeting, costing, payroll, accounts receivable, and management reporting.
• Ability to analyze financial information and provide clear recommendations to management.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage, guide, and lead finance employees effectively.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to ensure proper financial processes are followed.
• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Working experience with SAP will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Professional, accountable, organized, and capable of working under pressure.
