Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team in Chilaw, Sri Lanka. The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with Sri Lankan accounting and taxation standards, and supporting financial planning and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting functions including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Prepare financial statements and ensure compliance with Sri Lankan accounting and taxation standards.
• Handle month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Oversee cash flow management and support budget preparation.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure timely submission of statutory requirements (e.g., VAT, tax filings).
• Work with auditors and regulatory authorities when required.
• Support management with financial analysis, forecasting, and decision-making.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience.
• Experience in using MYOB Accounting Software is essential.
• A degree in Finance and Accounting is required.
• Part or full qualification in CIMA/CA/ACCA will be an added advantage.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
