Role Overview 

We are seeking an experienced and technically skilled Power Electrical Senior Engineer to support electrical engineering projects, industrial power systems, equipment validation, risk management, and operational excellence initiatives within a world-class manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, maintaining, and improving electrical systems and infrastructure while ensuring operational reliability, equipment robustness, compliance with engineering standards, and successful execution of industrial projects. This role requires strong expertise in electrical engineering, project management, risk assessment, and industrial operations. 

Key Responsibilities

• Implement quality systems and engineering methodologies, including risk analysis, FMEA, design reviews, quality planning, and management of non-conformities.
• Conduct feasibility studies for engineering projects while evaluating technical solutions based on cost, timelines, risk, and operational requirements.
• Develop, execute, and monitor action plans required for risk management, simulation, calculations, validations, and testing.
• Design and implement electrical engineering solutions in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Support equipment realization, installation, commissioning, start-up, validation, and industrial development activities.
• Ensure successful validation, qualification, and industrial robustness of equipment and electrical systems.
• Manage engineering documentation, equipment records, change requests, obsolescence management, and compliance requirements.
• Support project execution activities while ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, and quality expectations.
• Participate in continuous improvement programs aimed at enhancing operational performance and reliability.
• Support intellectual property initiatives and technical innovation activities where applicable.
• Ensure compliance with engineering regulations, safety standards, and organizational requirements.
• Work closely with manufacturing, maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to deliver sustainable technical solutions.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and industrial electrical systems.
• Experience with high-voltage operating devices and electrical safety protocols will be a strong advantage.
• Hands-on experience in electrical distribution system design, maintenance, and operational support.
• Exposure to industrial project management including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Sinhala.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced industrial environment.
