Role Overview 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially focused Factory Accountant to manage factory financial operations, financial controls, cost management, KPI monitoring, budgeting support, and operational finance reporting. The successful candidate will play a critical role in safeguarding company assets, strengthening financial governance, monitoring factory performance indicators, supporting monthly financial closing activities, and providing actionable financial insights that drive operational and strategic decision-making. This role is ideal for a finance professional with a strong understanding of manufacturing operations, cost control, internal controls, and factory performance management. 

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and ensure the accuracy of factory-specific KPIs including CPCM, Cut to Ship, Order to Ship, and Cadre Ratio.
• Analyze financial and operational performance indicators and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support factory management and finance teams in implementing corrective actions and operational improvements.
• Monitor and control factory overheads to ensure costs remain within approved budgets and forecasts.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and support implementation of cost optimization initiatives.
• Maintain strong financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with key business processes.
• Review and monitor expense approvals, financial controls, and governance compliance.
• Conduct periodic audits and reconciliations including raw material counts, finished goods counts, machine scans, payroll reconciliations, GRN monitoring, cut-to-ship reconciliations, and petty cash reviews.
• Manage and control factory petty cash operations, reimbursements, documentation, and reconciliations.
• Complete monthly financial closing activities accurately and within established deadlines.
• Review commercial and financial terms within supplier agreements related to factory operations.
• Coordinate with HR, Administration, Legal, and Finance teams to ensure contractual and financial compliance.
• Support internal audit activities and respond to audit observations while ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
• Prepare management reports, financial analyses, cost summaries, and ad-hoc reports for decision-making purposes.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities by collaborating with central finance and cluster finance teams.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and support standardization of finance processes across the organization.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, CMA, CA, or an equivalent qualification will be preferred.
• A Master's Degree in a relevant discipline will be an added advantage.
• Previous experience in Factory Accounting, Manufacturing Finance, Cost Control, Cost Accounting, or Operational Finance will be highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards, budgeting, forecasting, financial controls, and factory finance operations.
• Experience monitoring production and operational KPIs within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail when reviewing financial data and management reports.
• Experience with inventory controls, asset safeguarding, petty cash management, payroll reconciliation, and audit activities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Experience working with SAP or ERP systems will be a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while meeting strict financial reporting deadlines.
