Role Overview

We are looking for a Credit Analyst to initiate and structure viable credit proposals, carry out comprehensive credit analysis, and present findings and recommendations for approval in line with internal guidelines and compliance requirements. This role plays a key part in managing credit risk, supporting corporate banking strategies, and contributing to business growth through sound financial evaluation and risk assessment.

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate and structure viable credit proposals, carrying out credit analysis and presenting findings and recommendations for approval in adherence to guidelines and compliance requirements.

• Carry out trend analysis and historical analysis based on market and financial data.

• Perform financial evaluation, interpretation, and forecasting.

• Assist with credit quality improvement and manage corporate relationships in alignment with corporate banking policies and strategies.

• Monitor credit exposures to identify potential credit and business risks and take timely corrective action.

• Collaborate with relevant teams to support new lending business, deposit products, and cross-selling of service products to optimize returns to the bank.

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Qualifications

• Diploma in Applied Banking & Finance (IBSL) or an equivalent qualification offered by IBSL.

• A professional qualification or a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or Law from a recognized university will be an added advantage.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years aggregate experience in credit operations in an executive capacity within a bank or other financial institution.

Skills & Other Requirements

• Hands-on experience and ability to work independently using MS Office applications.

• Strong analytical skills in financial and business risk assessment.

• Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.

• Ability to work effectively in teams to achieve common objectives with mutual respect and support.

• Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented approach.

• High level of professionalism with the ability to take initiative and multitask.

• Age below 38 years.
