WE ARE HIRING: Accountant – Receivables Executive

Role Overview

The Accounts Receivable Executive is responsible for managing the end-to-end receivables cycle within shipping and logistics operations. The role focuses on timely invoicing, payment tracking, account reconciliation, dispute resolution, and maintaining healthy cash flow through close coordination with operations, sales, customer service, and finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile customer Statements of Accounts, verify and post bank receipts, adjustments, and payment vouchers

• Apply customer receipts accurately in the accounting system and reconcile differences

• Book customer or principal advance receipts against job numbers in coordination with operations teams

• Coordinate with customers and internal departments to confirm balances and resolve disputes

• Track outstanding receivables and ensure timely collections

• Follow up with clients via email, phone, or portals to reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO)

• Prepare and share customer statements and overdue invoice reminders

• Support monitoring of customer credit limits and handle job ageing and bank reconciliation when required

• Flag high-risk accounts, propose corrective actions, and ensure compliance with credit policies

• Support team members and assist with payables or payment-related activities when requested

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field

Experience

• 2–4 years of Accounts Receivable experience, preferably in shipping, freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain industries

Technical & Professional Skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles

• Knowledge of shipping documentation (BL, AWB, job files, manifests, DO, etc.) will be a strong advantage

• Computer literacy with strong MS Excel skills

• Ability to draft professional emails and communicate effectively with customers and internal teams
