Role Overview

The Assistant Manager – Quality Management acts as the independent voice of the customer, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to monitor, maintain, and continuously improve quality control procedures and process gates. The role ensures products and processes meet stringent customer and brand quality guidelines while driving operational excellence across manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the independent customer voice by organizing regular meetings, sharing product information, and providing solutions to quality-related issues

  • Influence and guide internal stakeholders to adhere to customer guidelines and technical parameters during quality audits

  • Identify, drive, and implement process improvements and innovative solutions using new technologies to enhance quality management standards

  • Ensure achievement of departmental KPIs with a strong focus on zero customer call-outs

  • Influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure products meet required customer specifications

  • Conduct training and knowledge-sharing sessions with Customer Certified Auditors to ensure teams remain updated on customer requirements

  • Ensure preventive quality engineering measures are implemented during pre-production and manufacturing activities

  • Maintain effective communication and follow-ups with cross-functional teams to achieve customer guidelines and departmental KPIs

  • Collaborate with Value Stream Managers, Industrial Engineers, and relevant stakeholders at product integration process gates to improve quality standards

  • Support performance management by monitoring team performance, providing feedback, identifying skill gaps, and supporting development plans

  • Work closely with subcontracted quality teams to ensure customer guidelines are clearly articulated and followed

  • Develop SOPs and standard work sheets to error-proof processes and streamline operations

  • Perform additional duties commensurate with the role as required by management

Compliance Responsibilities

  • Ensure full compliance with governance frameworks, group and company policies, best practices, and applicable laws and regulations

  • Uphold organizational values, standards, and ethical practices at all times

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Statistics, or Mathematics

Experience

  • 2–4 years of experience in a similar quality management capacity

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong product orientation with high attention to detail

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills with an innovative mindset

  • Ability to influence stakeholders and manage quality expectations

  • Team-oriented approach with a focus on continuous improvement

Working Conditions

  • General or shift-based work in a factory and office environment

  • Willingness to travel as required
