WE ARE HIRING: Electrical Engineer

Role Overview 

We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Electrical Engineer to oversee plant electrical systems, preventive maintenance, industrial automation, PLC-based controls, and machinery reliability within a commercial refrigeration and chiller manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining electrical equipment efficiency, minimizing downtime, driving continuous improvement initiatives, supporting CAPEX projects, and ensuring all electrical and automation systems operate safely and efficiently while meeting production requirements. 

Key Responsibilities Preventive 

Maintenance & Equipment Reliability

• Ensure full compliance with planned preventive maintenance schedules across all electrical equipment and systems.
• Monitor the performance and reliability of plant machinery, utilities, and electrical systems.
• Identify potential failure points and implement corrective actions to minimize equipment downtime.
• Maintain electrical distribution systems, motors, control panels, drives, and plant utility systems.
• Conduct periodic inspections and performance assessments to ensure optimal equipment operation.
• Support maintenance teams in troubleshooting and resolving critical electrical failures.

Electrical Systems & Automation

• Troubleshoot and maintain industrial electrical systems and automation equipment.
• Maintain, program, diagnose, and improve PLC-controlled systems.
• Support automation system design, commissioning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure proper operation of sensors, control circuits, VFDs, and electrical control panels.
• Participate in electrical modifications and process automation projects aimed at improving productivity and reliability.
• Provide technical recommendations to improve plant efficiency and equipment utilization.

CAPEX Projects & Technical Execution

• Lead CAPEX projects and ensure completion within approved timelines and budgets.
• Support project planning, technical evaluations, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project implementation.
• Review engineering drawings, panel schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Provide technical support during new equipment installations and plant expansion projects.

Spare Parts & Maintenance Planning

• Ensure availability of critical electrical components and maintenance spares.
• Maintain effective spare parts inventory control to minimize production disruptions.
• Monitor spare consumption and provide recommendations for inventory optimization.
• Maintain accurate maintenance histories, equipment records, and technical documentation.
• Prepare maintenance reports, downtime analysis reports, and project updates.

Continuous Improvement & Problem Solving

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and plant reliability.
• Perform root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Recommend technical improvements that improve safety, productivity, and equipment lifespan.
• Support energy efficiency and operational optimization projects.
• Assist in developing maintenance procedures, SOPs, and best practices.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent engineering qualification.
• Minimum 4 years of industrial experience in Electrical Maintenance, Plant Maintenance, Automation, or Engineering Operations.
• Strong knowledge of PLC systems, electrical controls, and industrial automation.
• Hands-on experience with troubleshooting electrical systems and automation-related equipment.
• Strong knowledge of Pneumatic Systems and industrial control applications.
• Experience maintaining plant machinery, utility systems, and production equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of industrial safety standards and electrical compliance requirements.
• Experience with CAPEX projects, commissioning, and equipment upgrades will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting and maintenance documentation.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends when operationally required.
