Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Senior Data Engineer – Snowflake & DBT to design, develop, and deliver scalable data solutions that support enterprise data and analytics initiatives.

The selected candidate will be responsible for building robust ETL and ELT pipelines, designing data warehouse structures, developing data models, ensuring data quality and security, and translating business requirements into reliable technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and enterprise data solutions.
• Build and optimize data warehouse structures, schemas, and data models.
• Develop ETL and ELT workflows using modern data-engineering tools and practices.
• Implement data transformations and modelling solutions using DBT.
• Develop and maintain Snowflake-based data platforms and related integrations.
• Ensure data quality, completeness, accuracy, consistency, and reliability across systems.
• Monitor data-pipeline performance and resolve processing issues and bottlenecks.
• Troubleshoot data discrepancies, system issues, and user queries.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data-processing logic.
• Integrate data from multiple source systems into centralized data platforms.
• Collaborate with business users, analysts, developers, and stakeholders to gather requirements.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical data solutions.
• Support data governance, metadata management, lineage, security, and compliance requirements.
• Ensure data solutions comply with GDPR and applicable data-protection standards.
• Maintain technical documentation, data mappings, design specifications, and operational procedures.
• Support deployment, version control, and CI/CD processes through Azure DevOps.
• Develop reusable frameworks and improve automation across data-engineering workflows.
• Support Power BI reporting and analytics by providing reliable and well-structured datasets.
• Participate in solution design reviews, code reviews, testing, and production support.
• Identify opportunities to improve platform performance, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other data-engineering team members when required.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Data Engineering or a similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Cloud.
• Practical experience with DBT for data transformation and modelling.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and SQL.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modelling, and data-architecture concepts.
• Hands-on experience developing ETL and ELT pipelines.
• Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server tools such as SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, and Master Data Services.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Synapse and Azure DevOps.
• Knowledge of tools such as FiveTran, Dataiku, and Collibra will be an advantage.
• Programming experience in Python or C#.
• Experience supporting Power BI and enterprise analytics solutions.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data security, and regulatory compliance.
• Knowledge of GDPR and related data-protection requirements.
• Insurance-domain knowledge is required.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage complex technical requirements and multiple priorities.
• Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
