Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically skilled Maintenance & Project Engineer – Mechanical to oversee mechanical engineering projects, building services maintenance, and infrastructure upgrades across corporate facilities. This role focuses on ensuring operational efficiency, safety compliance, and successful project delivery within a leading banking environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Mechanical Maintenance & Building Services
  Oversee maintenance and operational efficiency of building services systems
  Manage maintenance of air conditioning, plumbing, and firefighting systems
  Identify new requirements and improvements for existing engineering systems
  Ensure reliability and continuous functionality of critical facilities systems
• Project Management
  Oversee design functions of new engineering projects with full accuracy
  Ensure ongoing projects are delivered within scheduled timelines
  Supervise contractors and project teams to maintain quality and safety standards
  Ensure all new projects comply with requirements of local government authorities
• Financial & Vendor Management
  Handle contractor and project payments accurately and on time, including retention releases
  Support budget planning, cost allocation, and resource optimization
  Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and service providers
• Technical Advisory & Governance
  Provide expert recommendations to management for engineering decisions
  Ensure adherence to engineering standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements
  Stay updated with latest technological advancements in building services and energy management

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree specialized in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university
• Minimum 10+ years of post-degree experience in maintenance, design, and installation of building services systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Chartered status in Mechanical / Building Services Engineering (IESL or equivalent)
• Experience in energy management, facilities engineering, and project execution

• Strong expertise in HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and building systems
• Strong project management and contractor supervision skills
  
• Experience in budget allocation and cost control
