Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager Catering Operations to oversee and optimize all catering services in line with airline standards. This role requires strong operational leadership, vendor management, and cost optimization skills to ensure high-quality service delivery while maintaining efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the procurement of all catering-related items including equipment, food supplies, and consumables as per airline and company standards.
• Manage and maintain airline catering stores, ensuring accurate inventory control and stock management.
• Lead vendor negotiations and establish supplier agreements in line with procurement policies.
• Coordinate closely with airport service teams and airline crew for seamless airside operations.
• Inspect catering vehicles and equipment to ensure proper functionality and compliance with hygiene standards.
• Analyze onboard sales reports to identify cost trends and implement process improvements.
• Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives through process automation, planning, and scheduling.
• Collect feedback from cabin crew, catering operations, and guests to improve the catering experience.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of CAASL, AASL, and internal operational regulations.
• Lead the planning and setup of the wet kitchen and ensure all operational requirements are met.
• Manage and motivate the catering operations team to deliver high-quality results.
• Ensure smooth day-to-day catering activities in a fast-paced 24/7 environment.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in catering operations with at least 3 years in an executive-level role.
• Degree or NVQ Level 7 qualification in Hospitality, Business Management, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and policies.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure in a dynamic operational setting.
