Role Overview 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially focused Financial Accountant to support financial reporting, treasury management, working capital optimization, budgeting, compliance, and audit coordination activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of financial information, maintaining strong financial controls, supporting business decision-making, and contributing to the overall financial performance of the organization. This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong accounting knowledge, analytical capabilities, and a proactive approach to managing financial operations. 

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with the Shared Service Centre to ensure timely preparation and finalization of monthly and quarterly financial accounts.
• Review financial statements, reports, and accounting records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Manage treasury operations including cash flow, bank balances, borrowings, deposits, and banking activities.
• Monitor working capital performance, including receivables, payables, and inventory management.
• Coordinate with vendors regarding invoices, outstanding balances, and payment-related matters.
• Work closely with the Shared Service Centre to ensure timely processing of approved payments.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial analysis activities.
• Prepare and analyze financial information to support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and ensure all required information is provided accurately and on time.
• Follow up on audit observations, recommendations, and compliance requirements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, and internal financial controls.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function and contribute to enhanced financial reporting processes.

Candidate Profile

• Fully or partly qualified CA Sri Lanka or equivalent professional qualification.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, treasury management, and working capital management.
• Experience in banking operations and cash flow management.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems; exposure to SAP will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to financial accuracy and compliance.
