Role Overview 

We are seeking a dynamic and commercially driven Business Development Manager – Industry Services to lead business growth initiatives across Sri Lanka and the Maldives. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building long-term client relationships, expanding market presence, and driving revenue growth across industrial service sectors. This role requires a strong blend of technical understanding, commercial acumen, relationship management skills, and strategic thinking to successfully penetrate target industries while delivering sustainable business performance. 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with organizational growth objectives.
• Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities across industrial sectors.
• Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and customers within target industries.
• Manage and grow key customer accounts while ensuring long-term customer retention and satisfaction.
• Drive revenue growth through proactive business development and sales activities.
• Promote industrial inspection, testing, certification, quality assurance, asset integrity, and engineering service solutions.
• Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals tailored to customer requirements.
• Lead commercial negotiations and support contract finalization activities.
• Coordinate with technical and operational teams to ensure successful service delivery.
• Monitor market developments, industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities.
• Support tender preparation, bid submissions, and proposal management activities.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide accurate business forecasts and market intelligence.
• Represent the organization at industry forums, exhibitions, conferences, customer meetings, and networking events.
• Build strategic partnerships that strengthen market positioning and business growth.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and business objectives.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• MBA or postgraduate qualification in Business Management will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 8–12 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Key Account Management, or Commercial Management.
• Strong exposure to Industrial Services, Inspection Services, Quality Assurance, Asset Integrity, Engineering Services, or related sectors.
• Experience working within Manufacturing, Power & Energy, Oil & Gas, Infrastructure, Construction, Maritime, or Industrial sectors will be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of tendering processes, commercial proposals, contracts, and customer negotiations.
• Proven track record of achieving revenue targets and business growth objectives.
• Established network within industrial and engineering sectors will be a distinct advantage.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Excellent commercial awareness and ability to identify new market opportunities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business planning capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and drive business initiatives with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel locally and internationally when required.
