Role Overview

We are looking for a Shift Manager to take charge of restaurant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth, efficient, and high-quality service delivery. This role is responsible for supervising both Front of House and Back of House teams, maintaining service standards, handling customer concerns, and ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and operational procedures.

The Shift Manager plays a key leadership role in maintaining team performance, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) staff, assigning tasks and managing workflow during shifts.

  • Ensure customer orders are prepared accurately and served promptly.

  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring effective resolution.

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and hygiene throughout the restaurant.

  • Train and develop team members, providing coaching and performance feedback.

  • Manage inventory levels and control costs while minimizing waste.

  • Monitor staff performance and enforce company policies and procedures.

  • Collaborate with other managers to optimize restaurant operations.

  • Ensure full adherence to food safety regulations and health codes.

  • Conduct opening and closing duties to ensure smooth shift transitions.

Qualifications & Experience

Experience

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in restaurant or hospitality management.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Knowledge of brand standards, local operating standards, and food safety requirements.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Good understanding of restaurant operations.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Sound knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
