Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Assistant Manager – Modern Trade to manage and grow modern trade and fashion chain outlets. This role focuses on strengthening retailer relationships, driving sales performance, ensuring product visibility, and supporting the modern trade sales team to achieve business targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee modern trade and fashion chain outlets to drive sales growth and market presence.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key modern trade retailers and partners.

  • Lead and support the modern trade sales team to achieve assigned sales targets.

  • Ensure effective product visibility, promotions, and timely distribution across outlets.

  • Monitor sales performance, stock availability, and inventory levels to minimize stock-outs and overstocking.

  • Prepare sales reports, analyze performance trends, and provide insights to support business growth initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in modern trade sales or key account management.

  • Strong exposure to the Sri Lankan modern trade market.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.

  • Good understanding of modern trade operations and retail dynamics.

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.

  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
