Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Automation Tester to ensure the quality, stability, and performance of enterprise software applications. This role involves close collaboration with product owners, business analysts, and technical teams to execute all applicable testing levels and act as a quality advocate throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and review requirements prior to development to ensure validity, feasibility, and test coverage.

  • Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts during requirement workshops and refinement sessions to identify gaps, risks, and edge cases.

  • Prepare test plans covering scope, approach, resources, and schedules aligned with the development process.

  • Perform multiple testing levels including system, integration, smoke, sanity, regression, usability, exploratory, and UAT support.

  • Create and execute test cases, feature files, and test suites ensuring full requirement coverage.

  • Build and maintain smoke, sanity, and regression test suites.

  • Identify, report, track, and retest defects through to resolution.

  • Work closely with development teams to triage and prioritize defects.

  • Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts and frameworks.

  • Identify automatable scenarios and execute stability and performance tests.

  • Support QA-related application troubleshooting and issue replication.

  • Assist with test data creation for testing and development purposes.

  • Maintain testing logs, documentation, and reports for stakeholders.

  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, security, environmental, and compliance policies.

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Professional Qualifications

  • ISTQB certification or Agile certification (preferred).

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Software Testing (STLC).

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on Test Automation experience.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of SDLC / STLC and Agile methodologies.

  • Experience with multiple testing methodologies and frameworks.

  • Test Automation using Selenium (Java / .NET), TestNG, Maven, Git.

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or Azure DevOps.

  • API testing using REST / SOAP with tools such as Postman, SOAP UI, REST Assured.

  • Knowledge of OOP concepts and basic SQL.

  • Exposure to JMeter and SpecFlow will be an added advantage.
