Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Financial Controller to lead finance, management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, credit control, corporate administration, procurement, and governance activities.

The selected candidate will work closely with senior leadership to strengthen financial controls, provide accurate business insights, improve operational processes, and support sustainable organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting, treasury, financial reporting, audit, payroll, receivables, and finance operations.
  
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, management accounts, MIS reports, and analyses.
  
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial planning activities.
  
• Manage cash flow, working capital, credit control, collections, and treasury requirements.
  
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, tax, and corporate reporting requirements.
  
• Strengthen internal controls, governance systems, and financial risk-management practices.
  
• Provide financial insights, scenario analysis, and recommendations to senior management.
  
• Coordinate with auditors, legal advisers, regulators, financial institutions, and external stakeholders.
  
• Lead process improvements, automation, digital record keeping, and AI-enabled finance solutions.
  
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures across finance, procurement, and administration.
  
• Oversee corporate registrations, licences, permits, tax clearances, and statutory documentation.
  
• Manage fixed assets, vehicle fleets, and related third-party service providers.
  
• Oversee procurement activities, vendor selection, negotiations, contracts, and supplier performance.
  
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency and accountability.
  
• Lead, coach, and develop the finance team while promoting a high-performance culture.

Candidate Profile

• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  
• Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, or an equivalent certification will be preferred.
  
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in finance, including experience in a senior leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, auditing standards, taxation, treasury, and internal controls.
• Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, MIS reporting, cash-flow management, and credit control.
  
• Experience in corporate administration, procurement, distribution, or governance will be an advantage.
  
• Hands-on experience with ERP or accounting systems such as SAP, Tally, Odoo, or QuickBooks.
  
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  
• Excellent communication, leadership, presentation, and stakeholder-management abilities.
  
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, commercial judgment, and attention to detail.
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
