Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Chief Engineer / Master Marine to lead marine engineering operations, vessel repair projects, maintenance activities, and offshore asset related work within the logistics and marine services sector.

The selected candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing vessel repair and engineering projects, including dry docking, afloat repairs, in water repairs, fabrication work, full vessel overhauls, and offshore asset related projects. This role requires strong marine engineering expertise, leadership capability, and the ability to manage clients, technical authorities, vendors, and multi skilled repair teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, coordinate, and manage marine engineering and vessel repair projects.
• Oversee dry docking, afloat repairs, in water repairs, fabrication work, and full vessel overhaul activities.
  
• Manage project schedules, resources, costs, budgets, and progress updates.
• Monitor project deviations and take corrective action to ensure timely delivery.
  
• Support procurement, fabrication, follow up work, and as built engineering requirements.
• Supervise engineering repair teams and subcontracted service providers.
  
• Coordinate with owners, superintendents, vendors, class surveyors, and technical authorities.
• Ensure all vessel repair and maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and within agreed standards.
  
• Lead EPC topside module related work for offshore assets when required.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, class, safety, and operational protocols.
  
• Maintain strong communication with clients and internal teams throughout project execution.
• Support cost effective and professional delivery of marine repair solutions.
  

Candidate Profile

• Degree or professional qualification in Marine Engineering, 
• Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Chief Engineer level experience, Technical Superintendent experience, Shipyard leadership experience, or similar marine 
• engineering exposure will be preferred.
• Strong experience in vessel repair, ship repair, dry docking, in water repairs, offshore assets, or marine maintenance operations.
• Good understanding of hull structures, mechanical systems, electrical systems, and marine systems.
  
• Ability to lead complex vessel repair and offshore asset projects from planning to completion.
• Strong project management, planning, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  Ability to manage repair teams, subcontractors, vendors, and client representatives effectively.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory, class, safety, and marine operational requirements.
  
• Ability to work under pressure and make practical technical decisions.
• Professional, disciplined, and capable of handling port wide marine engineering projects.
