Role Overview

We are looking for a capable and experienced Transport Manager to lead and manage end-to-end transport and fleet operations across multiple business units. This role is responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, cost control, and high service standards in line with organizational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage daily transport operations to ensure timely and efficient movement of goods and personnel.

  • Oversee fleet management including vehicle allocation, preventive maintenance schedules, fuel consumption, and overall vehicle utilization.

  • Monitor and control transport-related costs, budgets, and expenses while identifying opportunities for cost optimization.

  • Ensure compliance with all transport regulations, safety standards, licensing, insurance, and statutory requirements.

  • Manage, supervise, and evaluate drivers and transport staff, including duty rosters, performance monitoring, and disciplinary actions where required.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as Operations, Procurement, Finance, and HR to align transport services with business needs.

  • Investigate and manage transport-related incidents, accidents, and insurance claims, ensuring proper documentation and corrective actions.

  • Prepare and present regular transport performance reports, KPIs, and improvement recommendations to management.

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Transport Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in transport or fleet management, preferably within a large or multi-location organization.
