Role Overview 

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to lead large-scale construction projects from planning through execution and successful completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project timelines, budgets, resources, quality standards, contractor performance, and stakeholder relationships while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and within agreed specifications. This role requires a strong leader with proven experience in managing high-value construction projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and driving operational excellence throughout the project lifecycle. 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the complete lifecycle of construction projects from initiation to final completion.
• Develop project plans, schedules, resource requirements, budgets, and execution strategies.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with contractual and quality requirements.
• Coordinate and manage project teams, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to address delays, risks, or operational challenges.
• Manage project budgets, cost control activities, valuations, and financial performance reporting.
• Review technical drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards across all project activities.
• Conduct project meetings and provide regular progress updates to senior management and stakeholders.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans to minimize operational and financial impact.
• Ensure effective utilization of manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractor resources.
• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure customer expectations are consistently achieved.
• Coordinate project handover activities and ensure proper closeout documentation is completed.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery, productivity, and profitability.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree or Higher Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience in construction project management.
• Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.
• Experience handling projects valued at LKR 500 Million or above will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of project planning, budgeting, contract management, cost control, and risk management.
• Sound understanding of construction methodologies, engineering standards, and quality management practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver projects within demanding timelines.
• Proficiency in project planning and reporting tools including Microsoft Office and project management software.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
