Role Overview 

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineering Lead to drive quality strategy, testing excellence, and release governance across enterprise-scale technology initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in establishing automation-first testing practices, improving software quality standards, and building high-performing quality engineering teams. 

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the overall Quality Engineering strategy aligned with business and technology objectives.
• Lead test planning, quality reviews, risk assessments, and release readiness activities across multiple projects and teams.
• Design and implement comprehensive test strategies covering data validation, data integrity, integration testing, performance testing, and end-to-end business workflows.
• Establish and enhance automation-first testing practices including regression automation, continuous testing, and data validation frameworks.
• Drive adoption of AI-assisted testing and agentic QA solutions to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and scalability.
• Define and monitor quality metrics including defect leakage, test coverage, automation coverage, deployment quality, and release readiness.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, product owners, business teams, and project managers to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Lead release governance activities including quality gates, deployment readiness reviews, go/no-go decisions, and production validation strategies.
• Build and mentor a high-performing Quality Engineering team through coaching, technical leadership, and career development support.
• Drive quality improvements, process standardization, and operational excellence initiatives across delivery teams.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification.
• 6-7+ years of experience in Quality Engineering.
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in a QE Lead, Associate Lead, or similar leadership role.
• Proven experience defining and executing enterprise-scale test strategies for data platforms, integrations, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Strong experience with test automation frameworks and automation-first delivery models.
• Hands-on experience in Data Quality Testing, ETL Testing, Data Migration Testing, Database Testing, and Data Validation frameworks.
• Experience designing and implementing automation solutions using Java, Python, or similar programming languages.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Git, Maven, and SonarQube.
• Experience with performance engineering and performance testing tools.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, practices, and test design techniques.
• Solid practical understanding of Agile Software Testing and Software Engineering principles.
• Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Professional certifications such as ISTQB, PMI-ACP, or CSM will be an added advantage.
• Passion for continuous learning and staying updated with emerging technologies and testing practices.
