Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive, approachable, and people-oriented Executive – Employee Relations to strengthen workplace relationships, promote a positive organizational culture, and support the effective implementation of employee relations and HR practices across the organization. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing employee relations, handling grievances, supporting disciplinary processes, ensuring policy compliance, and driving employee engagement initiatives while contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain positive employee relationships across the organization.
- Handle employee grievances, complaints, and workplace concerns promptly, fairly, and confidentially.
- Coordinate disciplinary investigations and prepare related documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, labour laws, and employee guidelines.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, and workplace behaviour while recommending corrective actions where necessary.
- Support employee engagement, welfare programmes, and internal communication initiatives.
- Conduct employee counselling and assist in conflict resolution.
- Maintain accurate records relating to employee relations, disciplinary matters, and investigations.
- Work closely with department heads to resolve employee issues and improve workplace harmony.
- Prepare employee relations reports and recommendations for management.
- Support HR projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing employee retention and organizational culture.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or Professional Qualification in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3–4 years of experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations, or Industrial Relations.
- Experience within a manufacturing environment will be an added advantage.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Good analytical and report-writing abilities.
- Sound knowledge of Sri Lankan labour laws and HR best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Ability to build trust and maintain positive relationships with employees at all levels.
