WE ARE HIRING :AML/CFT Officer - Financial Data Management Division

Key Responsibilities:

• Gain comprehensive knowledge of the Financial Transactions Reporting Act, No. 06 of 2006 (FTRA) regarding mandatory reporting, suspicious transaction reporting, and consequences of non-compliance.
• Acquire in-depth expertise in the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) goAML reporting and analysis system, including its web interface, XML report structure (XML schema), reporting model, and database.

Manage goAML operations related to:

• User-related tasks: registration, logins, password resets, role management, email notifications, and maintaining accurate user details.
• Reporting-related tasks: XML report structure, report validation, submission, handling resubmissions, notifications, and technical requirements (e.g., hashing).
• Serve as the main point of contact for Reporting Institutions (RIs) on goAML system or reporting issues, providing support via phone, email, and online sessions.
• Deliver and coordinate training sessions for RIs on goAML reporting, and develop user training materials (manuals, guidelines, videos).
• Respond promptly to assignments from the FIU management and contribute to departmental objectives and operational needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree (minimum 3 years) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, IT System Management, or Information Security with a minimum of Second Class (Upper Division) or equivalent (GPA 3.5/4.0 or WAM 75%).
• Degree obtained from a local or foreign university recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Sri Lanka.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in big data management, database management, cyber security, information technology, or compliancepreferably in banking, regulatory, finance, auditing, or risk management sectors.
• Experience working in reputable, regulated institutions or supervisory bodies in Sri Lanka.

Preferred Skills & Competencies:

• Strong skills in database management, data analysis, and data visualization (Tableau, Power BI).
• Knowledge of coding languages (Python) and AI applications for data management.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Excellent communication skills in Sinhala/Tamil and English, both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
