Job Overview
Were looking for a passionate and experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a mission-driven team dedicated to providing international-standard veterinary care for street dogs and other animals in Sri Lanka. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide daily care for inpatients including medication administration, wound management, and surgical preparation.
• Perform surgeries, diagnostic tests (including imaging), and consultations.
• Conduct home and street visits for treatment and follow-up care.
• Lead by example in maintaining clinical standards and mentoring the team.
• Represent the organization positively within the hospital and community.
• Participate in community outreach programs promoting responsible animal ownership.
• Assist in protocol development and adherence.
• Attend clinical meetings and journal clubs to ensure evidence-based veterinary practices.
• Support awareness efforts within the veterinary profession.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a small animal veterinary surgeon.
• Passionate about animal welfare, especially dogs.
• Flexible, adaptable, and able to thrive in fast-paced, high-stress environments.
• Strong team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Self-motivated, organized, and trustworthy.
• Open to learning and understanding the challenges faced in Sri Lanka.
