Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in merchandising or a related role, preferably in the fashion industry
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using merchandising software and tools
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Creative and strategic thinking abilities
• Leadership experience and the ability to manage and motivate a team

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement merchandising strategies to meet sales and profit targets
• Analyze market trends and consumer behavior to anticipate product needs and preferences
• Identify and select products that align with the company's brand and market positioning
• Ensure a balanced and attractive product range that meets customer demands and seasonal trends
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms
• Source new suppliers and products to diversify the product range
• Analyze sales data to evaluate product performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Prepare regular reports on sales performance, stock levels, and merchandising activities
• Work closely with the buying, marketing, and sales teams to align merchandising strategies with overall business objectives
• Coordinate with the visual merchandising team to ensure products are displayed effectively in stores
• Monitor expenditures and ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions
• Use research findings to make data-driven decisions and adjust merchandising strategies as needed
• Mentor and support junior merchandisers and other team members
