Responsibilities

• Primarily, you will be focused on developing new BI reports critical to the operation and growth of our underwriting arm, Pen Underwriting. You will review requirements from Technical or Business Analysts, as well as business stakeholders, and will be responsible for turning those requirements into a robust report solution using existing BI tools.

• In addition you will provide BAU support to existing report users, including the resolution of high-priority incidents in a timely and safe manner, in line with best practice.

• Responsibilities include maintaining and enhancing existing reports, data feeds, and scheduled jobs, as well as working with new technologies to integrate data sources into our Data Warehouse and improve the efficiency and quality of data tools for our growing business.

• You will be a key part of our growing development and support teams across Company Technology and will need to play an active and enthusiastic role in improving our team's capabilities.

Requirements :

• · Strong experience with SQL Server technologies (T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, Power BI).

• · Source Control (GIT) experience.

• · Understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling techniques.

• · A strong focus on data quality.

• · Effective communication and collaboration skills to work within a cross-functional team.

• · Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and methodically in an Agile environment.

• · Proactively sharing what works best with others.

• · Actively listens to the views of colleagues, but also has the strength of character to challenge where required.

• · Planning, organizing, and managing skills, and ability to prioritize.

• · Eager to learn and grow your data engineering skills.

• · Nice to Have - Azure Data Factory, PowerShell, DevOps, Python, API exposure
