Sous Chef - Sri Lankan Fusion Cuisine

We are seeking an experienced and talented Sous Chef to join the dynamic team at  Sri Lankan fusion restaurant located in Colombo. This role is perfect for a passionate chef skilled in both Sri Lankan cuisine and Western a la carte, eager to be part of a creative and high-energy kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure smooth and efficient workflow in daily kitchen operations.
  • Collaborate on menu development, incorporating innovative fusion ideas to showcase our unique culinary style while maintaining high standards of flavor and presentation.
  • Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, upholding quality, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control of kitchen supplies and ingredients.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a star-class hotel.
  • Strong expertise in Sri Lankan cuisine, with familiarity in Western a la carte preparations.
  • Excellent leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen.
