Assistant Manager Investments Opportunity in Insurance 

Roles and Responsibilities

• Responsible for delivering team research deliverables. Conducting in-depth fundamental fixed income, equity, and credit analysis.Prepare written reports outlining company and industry-specific investment recommendations and present investment opinions to senior staff.
• Responsibility for overseeing areas of economic analysis and finding presentations
• Responsibility to oversee area of insurance sector investment analysis
• Assist in maintaining governance (maintain the Investment Policy, the Investment Mandates)
• Assist in and timely compliance oversight (including review and implementation of Group investment standards)
• Assist in defining and generating MI to ensure investment management adheres to regulatory guidelines, investment policy and investment mandates
• Responsible for all aspects of unit pricing and fund accounting activities irrespective of the unit-linked operating model. This includes having oversight over the suppliers of fund accounting and unit price services where these are outsourced.

Minimum Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a recognized university in Management /Finance/ Mathematics/Economics.
• Fully qualified in CIMA, ICASL, or ACCA.
• CFA candidates will have an added advantage.
• Over five years of experience in the financial sector including experience in the investment or fund management industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (especially in Excel and PowerPoint)
• Excellent communication skills with good analytical skills
