 WE ARE HIRING: Head of Research

Objectives of the Role

• Lead and manage the research department to deliver timely, insightful, and high-quality equity and macroeconomic research.
• Enhance research reputation and thought leadership in the market.
• Provide strategic research support to sales and trading teams to drive revenue growth.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and ethical standards in all research activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the research strategy aligned with the companys business objectives.
• Supervise and mentor a team of equity analysts and research associates.
• Oversee the production and publication of company reports, sector analyses, and market strategy notes.
• Maintain regular engagement with institutional clients, presenting research findings and market views.
• Represent at investor conferences, media interactions, and industry forums as required.
• Collaborate with senior management to develop new research products and services.

Candidate Profile Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 3-6 years of relevant experience in equity research, with experience in a senior analyst or supervisory role preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in producing high-quality research and managing research processes.
• CFA charterholder or equivalent professional qualification is preferred
• Master's degree in finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline

Key Skills and Attributes

• Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
• In-depth knowledge of capital markets, macroeconomic dynamics, and regulatory frameworks in Sri Lanka.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors.
• High standards of integrity and adherence to ethical principles in research.

 Language Requirements

• Fluency in English and Sinhala is required.
• Proficiency in Tamil will be considered an added advantage.

Compensation and Benefits
