Senior Engineer / Lead Engineer - IT Infrastructure

Position: Project Manager - IT Infrastructure

• Location: Sri Lanka
• Work Type: Onsite
• Work Hours: 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
• Working Days: weekdays + flexible to work on weekends and extra hours for project delivery

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain virtualization infrastructure, specializing in VMware and/or Nutanix AHV
• Responsible for an uninterrupted operation of vSphere, vCenter/Prism
• Monitor system performance, conduct upgrades, and implement patches for optimal efficiency
• Offer technical support for VMware/Nutanix-related issues and maintain comprehensive documentation
• Backup Application Software (such as Veeam, Commvault, ArcServe, Rubrik etc.)
• Work with security teams to implement and enforce best practices for virtualization security
• Experience in Banking and Finance Sector would be an added advantage

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• OR BCS/ NVQ Level 5 with field qualifying experience VMWare/ Nutanix
• Minimum of 3-4 years experience as a VMware/Nutanix System Engineer or similar role
• In-depth knowledge and Certifications of VMware virtualization technologies, including vSphere/Prism, ESXi/AHV, and vCenter/Prism
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and strong understanding of networking, security, storage, server technologies
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills and willing to work long hours to achieve on emergency and support for on-call duty
• Knowledge on Patch Management and Mange Engine Desktop Central, OpManager will be added advantage
• Experience in Endpoint security, NOC and SOC Operations
